The Backyard ministry is a way in which we can gather safely as community. We offer live music on the lawn, food trucks, pop-up beer garden, and activities for kids. Our events are all family friendly, dog friendly, and welcoming to all. Donations of food and money that are collected at events 100% support our food ministry program

St. Paul Penryn’s food pantry and gender affirming closet are run by volunteers and committed people from our friends at Lititz Chooses Love, who also use the space as a resource center for the LGBQT+ community and allies. We are located in the church building and are open Wednesday evening from 5:00 -8:00 p.m., and on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

This is a warm, welcoming and loving community. It is a pleasure to share time and space with them.

“Be a sinner and sin boldly, but believe and rejoice in Christ even more boldly, for he is victorious over sin, death, and the world.”

What to expect at worship

Expect to be greeted with authentic warmth and care.  Expect people to talk to you and offer the hand in Christian fellowship.  Expect to hear people talking, laughing, and crying, and children being children. Expect to  hear the word inspired by God through prayer, scripture, proclamation in preaching, and song.  Expect to be prayed for and prayed with. Expect to be welcomed at the table where the body and blood of Jesus Christ is “given for you”.  Expect to be welcomed into a community where we are all sinners and all loved by God.

What we believe

We believe that humans are saved from their sins by God's grace alone, through faith alone, and word alone. We believe that saving faith is the knowledge of, acceptance of, and trust in the promise of the Gospel. Even faith itself is seen as a gift of God, created in the hearts of Christians by the work of the Holy Spirit through the Word and Baptism. We believe in the community of sinners and saints and that we are all part of the body of Christ.

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
